buongiorno!

wow! i haven't posted in over a month! i got back from italy last week and i have much to tell you all! but it's taking me awhile to get all my photos edited and organized, so i thought i'd just give you all a little taste. we spent the first week wandering the streets of rome, getting lost but enjoying every minute of it, getting adjusted to the time difference, getting adjusted to everything else, learning how to navigate a grocery store and a metro, learning how to communicate with italians, learning how not to communicate with italians, and so on and so forth. :) italy has such a unique and vibrant character. i loved the oldness of it, the style of the architecture, the food, and (sometimes) the leisurely atmosphere.

we enjoyed lots of fresh bread and fresh mozzarella
and lots and lots of gelato!








and i threw a coin into the trevi fountain so that someday i will find myself in rome once more.
